Market Discovery Specialist (Law & Business)
Are you a Law or International Business student with a sharp analytical mind and an interest in the high-stakes world of European Fintech?
Zevoy is a Finland-based B2B fintech working in expense management. We are moving beyond the digital-first Nordic markets and preparing to enter the complex regulatory landscapes of Central Europe (initial focus in Germany, the Netherlands and Italy). We don't believe in generic "European" products; we believe in deep, native localization that automates bureaucratic friction.
We are looking for Market Discovery Specialists (Part-time/Hourly) to help us validate our go-to-market (GTM) hypotheses and ensure our inbound-only approach is rock-solid before we launch.
Your Mission: Validate, De-risk, & Shape the Strategy
This is not a "task-list" role. We are looking for a self-motivated doer with high agency who can take our initial hypotheses and proactively define the best process to achieve results. You will work directly with our Inbound/GTM team to bridge the gap between local regulatory reality and our marketing engine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Deep-Dives: Verify legal "Hygiene Factors" such as local "Impressum" requirements, and specific tax standards like GoBD in Germany or Wwft in the Netherlands.
- GTM Strategy Input: Collaborate with the Inbound team to refine paid campaigns, email automations, and landing pages to ensure they resonate with local ICPs and your findings.
- Qualitative Market Validation: Identify, book, and conduct discovery interviews with potential customers (CFOs, accountants, admins) to stress-test our "Inbound-only" hypothesis.
- Hypothesis Testing: Help execute and analyze incentivized surveys and other applicable methods to see if our proposed features meet actual market needs.
- Localization Quality Control: Review and refine our localizations and translations to ensure we speak the native professional financial language, not just literal translations.
- The Zevoy Playbook: Proactively define the roadmap of what is needed for a market to be "Release Ready" versus "Post-Launch Growth".
Your Development Path: From Discovery to Market Lead
We aren’t just looking for a researcher; we want a future Subject Matter Expert. How fast you grow depends on your proactivity in shaping this role:
Phase 1: The Discovery Specialist (Months 1–3)
Focus: Validating "Hygiene Level" requirements and legal foundations.
Tasks: Auditing AI localization and conducting first-hand qualitative interviews with local businesses.
Goal: Defining the "Release Ready" roadmap for your specific market.
Phase 2: The Launch Navigator (Months 4–6)
Focus: Supporting the development build and pre-launch activities.
Tasks: Testing local integrations (like DATEV, SDI, or Twinfield) from a user perspective.
Goal: Ensuring the product feels "Native" and trustworthy on Day 1.
Phase 3: The Market Subject Matter Expert (Post-Launch)
Focus: Owning the local market's success and evolution.
Tasks: Analyzing post-launch friction and identifying new "Sticky" features for local buyers.
Goal: Becoming the go-to authority for Zevoy’s operations in your region.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Currently enrolled in Law, Finance, or International Business.
- Agency & Proactivity: You are a self-starter who prefers defining the process rather than waiting for a to-do list.
- Language Mastery: Fluency in at least one of our target languages (German, Dutch, or Italian) is a must. Understanding of business culture in any of these countries is a way to stand out as an applicant.
- Communication Skills: Confident in reaching out to and interviewing professional stakeholders in a selling/discovery context. Negotiation internally with stakeholders to ensure timely updating of roadmap and build is a core skill also.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to extract clear product requirements from dense regulatory documents.
Why Join Us?
Direct Impact: Your research dictates our engineering priorities and 18-week build schedules.
Flexible Work: Hourly, remote-friendly position designed to fit around your studies.
Entrepreneurial Culture: High autonomy to shape your own workflow and market strategy.
